Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to hold a hybrid tryout system, to help evaluate players in preparation for our 2020 - 21 season.
Players NEW to FCLC are asked to participate in our VIRTUAL TRYOUT SESSIONS if you were born between 2013 thru 2007 (U8 to U14). For players born between 2006 thru 2002, one of our directors will reach out to you directly to discuss your past playing experience and potential next steps for evaluation.
CURRENT FCLC players have been continually evaluated throughout their time playing in the 2019 - 20 season.
Step 1: Complete our FREE tryout registration form here:
Step 2: Players should create a video of themselves completing all FOUR skill tasks shown here. If you would rather set up a live virtual call so we can actively watch your son/daughter perform these 4 technical skills we'd be happy to host one with you! Please email one of the age group directors below to set up the call.
Click here for a detailed explanation of these 4 skill tasks.
Step 3: Once recorded please submit your virtual tryout video entries (4 in total) to firstname.lastname@example.org using this link:
You MUST include this information in the video file email:
PLEASE NOTE: Players may also submit game film (via the link above) should you have any. Please include your position, number of playing jersey, and specific team you are playing on.
ON FIELD EVENT: We are planning to run an "I.D." session for each age group over the sumner to actively see players on the field in a larger setting. This is entirely dependent on when we are released to be able to do so by the government and/or Illinois Youth Soccer Association. All new players will be offered an opportunity to attend this event when we know more information on the dates we may be able to get outside.
COMMUNICATION: Players who are identified through their virtual tryout video will be communicated with in one of the following TWO categories:
